  • A North Dakota woman who authorities say was upset about abortion legislation is accused of threatening to kill a state lawmaker.
Nicolette Knudson, of Lidgerwood, allegedly called Bismarck Republican Sen. Margaret Sitte (SIHT'-ee) at 3 a.m. on Feb. 27 and threatened to kill her. The Forum newspaper reports (http://bit.ly/10kkIc8) that Knudson was arrested Wednesday after an investigation by state Capitol security and faces a felony charge of threatening a public servant, along with drug charges.
Court documents do not list an attorney for Knudson. Phone numbers listed for her are disconnected.
Sitte has supported anti-abortion measures that have been passed by the Legislature and signed by Gov. Jack Dalrymple. She declined comment on the alleged threat.
