PRACS Institute in Fargo shutting down, 316 employees affected

One of the Fargo area's largest employers is shutting down and laying off its workers.

Local Chamber of Commerce officials say the PRACS Institute has 316 workers. Employees said they were notified of the shutdown Wednesday.

The company conducted research for the drug, dermatology and cosmetic industries through inpatient and outpatient studies. It had operated in Fargo for three decades.
