The 18th Annual River Watch Forum on Wednesday brought high school River Watch teams from across the region to the U of M, Crookston to showcase their data and research findings regarding the health of their local rivers.
The students’ work is part of a Red River Basin citizen science network that features water quality data at more than 150 monitoring sites throughout northwest Minnesota. Student teams displayed their posters and attended break-out
sessions throughout the day.
The Crookston team focused their research on the impacts of drought on the Red Lake River in and around Crookston.
