Minnesota, Crookston fell 7-1 in a weather-shortened five-inning game Tuesday night against Florida Christian College at Saint Cloud High School in Saint Cloud, Fla. The Golden Eagles fall to 0-5 overall on their Spring Break trip and are now 0-13 on the season.

Sophomore Joe Miller (P, Winona, Minn.), pitching for the first time this season since suffering an elbow injury before the season, got the start on the mound. Miller went four innings and gave up four earned runs on six hits and gets credited with the loss for the game.
Junior Matt Korte (IF/OF/P, St. Cloud, Minn.) would also pitch for UMC and would go one inning, giving up three hits and one earned run.
Nick Beavers gets the win for Florida Christian after going six innings and giving up one earned run on nine hits.
The Golden Eagle bats were led by Brehmer, who went 3-for-3 for the game and Prill, who was 1-for-3 with an RBI.
UMC returns home from their Florida trip tomorrow and will turn around and open Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play with a series Sunday, March 24 and Monday, March 25 against Minnesota State at the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome.
