  • Isaac Loegering qualifies for YMCA National Meet in 3 events

  • Crookston's Isaac Loegering, a senior at CHS, swimming for the Red River Valley YMCA Wahoos, won the 50 and 100 freestyle at the North Dakota Short Course State Meet this past weekend at Hyslop Pool in Grand Forks. Loegering qualified for the YMCA National Swim Meet in those two events as well as the 200 freestyle relay.
     
    The YMCA National Meet is set for April 4-7 in Greensboro, N.C.
     
    Loegering set personal records in the 50 and 100 freestyle along with the 50 breaststroke, which he placed fourth in. He took fifth in the 200 individual medley and 13th in the 100 breaststroke.
     
    Loegering anchored the 200 freestyle relay, which placed third and qualified for the national meet. He was also a member of a runner-up team in the 400 freestyle relay and three other third place relays.
