  •  A Brainerd man is facing felony charges after a pipe bomb was discovered in a foreclosed home during a search of the residence.
A utility company asked authorities to check the house because the power had been turned on illegally. Crow Wing County Sheriff Todd Dahl tells the Brainerd Dispatch (http://bit.ly/XyEXqu ) that when officers went to the house Monday, they saw drug paraphernalia through the window. Officers returned with a search warrant and found the bomb fashioned from a flashlight and explosive powder. A bomb technician defused it and no one was injured.
