Bond has been set at $5,000 for a man accused in a hit-and-run death in Dickinson late last year.
Forty-seven-year-old Timothy Menges was arrested Monday in the Nov. 21 death of 47-year-old Tracy Freer. Police say Freer was struck by a pickup truck in the parking lot of the Queen City Motel.
Sgt. Kylan Klauzer tells The Dickinson Press that tips led police to Menges. Klauzer says Menges is from the Missouri area, though court documents indicate he has been in Dickinson for at least the past year.
Court documents do not list an attorney for Menges. KXNews reports that his bond was set at $5,000 cash during a court hearing Wednesday. The felony charge of negligent homicide carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison.
