A sell-out crowd packed the U of M, Crookston’s Bede Ballroom Tuesday for the first dinner in this year’s International Dinner Series, “The Powers of Egypt.”
The dinner, originally scheduled for Monday, was postponed until Tuesday because of the winter storm. The evening’s hosts were Egyptian students Fadel Naassana, Jed Kfoury and Eiyad.
The menu consisted of Baba Ghanouj (egg plant), chicken kebob and rice, and Basbousa (Semolina Cake).
The next dinner, on March 11, will feature the cuisine and culture of Canada. Tickets for that dinner and others to follow are available through Rae French at 281-8339 or email@example.com.
