Three Crocs earned high-point trophies with Jaden Lubarski earning second place and Thomas Mykleseth and Elizabeth Erdman each placing third.
The Crookston Crocs swim team finished fifth place of 12 teams at the Prochnow Invitational in Fargo on Feb. 9-10. Three Crocs earned high-point trophies with Jaden Lubarski earning second place and Thomas Mykleseth and Elizabeth Erdman each placing third.
"It was really great to have so many good swims and a couple more swimmers qualifying for State," said Crocs head coach Ken Stromberg. "Patrick and Sarah Matlack got qualifying times for State which brings the Crocs up to 12 swimmers who are going to state meet."
Erdman, Lubarski, Mykleseth and Muira MacRae each swam the 500 free style.
"The 500 free is 20 lengths of the pool and all four had very good times," Stromberg said. "I am working at getting all the swimmers ready to swim a 500 free. This event really helps a swimmer's mental and physical ability and then helps all the other events they swim in.
Next up is a meet in Jamestown followed by Fargo and then State in Grand Forks March 15-17.
"All the swimmers are working hard and we’ll time drop in their events all the way through state," Stromberg explained.
