A man has been sentenced to 18 years in prison for dealing methamphetamine in North Dakota and elsewhere.
Uriel Curiel had pleaded guilty in federal court to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute a controlled substance, and money laundering.
Authorities say Curiel and others traveled to Illinois to obtain the drugs. Curiel was arrested more than a year ago in Chicago.
A judge earlier this week ordered that Curiel be incarcerated in the nearest prison to his mother's house in California.
Three other men have been convicted in case. Juan Barrios was sentenced to 18 years in prison, Rafuel Fuentes to 11 years, and Cristobal Garza to 10 years.
