Brad Goss came away with the high score of each of Crookston’s three games.
The Crookston Pirates Special Olympics basketball team took fourth place on Saturday, Feb. 9 in the annual Grand Forks Special Olympics Tournament.
The Pirates defeated the Belcourt Warriors in the first round of competition. Grand Forks proved to be too tough for the Pirates to get by in the second game. And, again, the Pirates fell in the third round of play against a tough Belcourt team.
Brad Goss came away with the high score of each of Crookston’s games, with a total of 18 points in the first round, four in the second and 21 in the third game.
The Pirates will play this Thursday in an annual tournament in Perham. Then the team will play its final game during halftime of the Crookston boys’ basketball game in Crookston on Thursday, Feb. 28.
Coaches for the Crookston team are Jeff Durbin and Dan Burris.
