  • The Pirates jumped out to an 18-6 lead to start Thursday's game with Roseau and never looked back as they beat the Rams 85-45 in Crookston.
     
    Sophomore center Brooke Heggie recorded 20 points, while sophomore guard Sydney Boike added 16 points and sophomore guard Kenzie Klatt had 11. Sophomore guard Danica Brekken recorded nine points and both seniors Kaylee Desrosier and Kylie Simmons had eight points.
     
    Alexis Melby had 12 points to lead Roseau, while Kaitlyn Christianson had ten.
     
    Crookston led 40-20 at halftime and outscored Roseau 45-25 in the second half.
     
    Now 15-3 on the season, the Pirates host Grafton today and Frazee Monday. Both games are set for an opening tip of 7:30 p.m.
