CHS trio sings at Concordia
Three Crookston High School Choir students, Sydney Luckow, Bryan Sanchez and McKaela Larson, were selected to participate in the Concordia College High School Choral Festival on Friday & Saturday, Jan. 25-26 in Moorhead.
The weekend began with a concert at Memorial Auditorium on Friday night by a professional men's group "Cantus" for over 600 high school choral students, followed with pizza for all participants and a late night mass choir rehearsal with conductor, Dr. Rene Clausen.
The students spent Saturday rehearsing the mass choir selections and listening to mini-concerts by Concordia's Cantabile and Mannerchor Freshman Choir. The event concluded with a late afternoon concert at Trinity Lutheran Church that featured four high school choirs: Blaine High School Concert Choir, Roseville Area High School Cantus Certus, Willmar High School Cardinal Choir and the Red River High School Concert Choir, Grand Forks ND, as well as the Concordia College Concert Choir, and ended with the Festival Choir under the direction of Dr. Rene Clausen.
