The Ponies outscored the Pirates 35-30 in the second half.

A buzzer beating put back by Warren-Alvarado-Oslo's Danny Schmidt sunk the Pirates Thursday in Warren 60-58.

Crookston led 28-25 at halftime as the Warren-Alvarado-Oslo Ponies were without the services of leading scorer Jayvon O'Quinn, who came back to score nine in the second half. The Ponies outscored the Pirates 35-30 in the second half.

Pirate sophomore Aaron Hollcraft scored a game-high 17 points, while junior post Michael Hefta added ten, senior Travis Vatthauer had eight and sophomore Ryan Porter scored seven.

Warren-Alvarado-Oslo was led by 12 points from both Matt Bergh and Cameron DuBore. Schmidt finished with ten points and Jon Hess joined O'Quinn with nine points.

Crookston falls to 7-8 on the season and will go on the road to take on Frazee Saturday  for a game at 3:30 p.m. The Pirates will host Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton Tuesday. The opening tip is set for 7:30 p.m.
