  • The Golden Eagles shot just 23.1 percent from the field and committed 20 turnovers in a 58-48 loss to Bemidji State Tuesday in Crookston.
     
    UMC falls to a record of 5-9 on the season (2-8 NSIC), while BSU moves to 7-7 (3-7 NSIC).
     
    Sophomore guard Ashley Martell (Somerset, Wis.) finished with 11 points. Freshman forward Katrina Moenkedick (Perham, Minn.) added nine points and pulled in six rebounds. Freshman post Erika McRoberts (Byron, Minn.) came off the bench and scored nine points.
     
    Bemidji State's Kate Warmack, an East Grand Forks product, scored ten points and had ten rebounds. Morgan Lee led the scoring for the Beavers with 14, while Lanae Rash added 12 points. Bemidji State shot 22-of-54 for 40.7 percent for the game.
     
    The Golden Eagles travel to Fayette, Iowa on Friday to face Upper Iowa and Winona, Minn. Saturday to face Winona State.
