  • The Pirates won their fifth consecutive game Tuesday with a 84-59 convincing win over Bemidji on the road. Sophomore Sydney Boike recorded a game-high 21 points as a total of five Pirates scored in double figures.
     
    Crookston built a 42-30 lead at halftime and outscored the Class AAAA Lumberjacks 42-29 in the second half.
     
    Sophomore Brooke Heggie posted 16 points, senior Taylor Demarais had 14, while sophomores Kenzie Klatt and Danica Brekken each had 11.
     
    Jess Yost led Bemidji with 19 points, while Dani Gronhovd added 12.
     
    The win boosts the Pirates to 10-2 on the season. They will go on the road Thursday to face Red Lake before facing Frazee Saturday at Concordia-Moorhead at approximately 7:30 p.m.
