Twenty-eight-year-old Jeremy Thompson faces two felony counts of luring minors by computer. He could face up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
Thompson made his initial court appearance Wednesday and is scheduled to enter a plea on Feb. 22. Court documents do not list an attorney for him and a listed telephone number for him could not immediately be found.
Thompson is a para-eductor at three Grand Forks schools and a coach at one of them. A para-eductor offers services such as one-on-one student tutoring. The Grand Forks Herald reports that the school district has put Thompson on unpaid leave.
