Melbye moves from ward 4 seat to at-large seat.
The Crookston City Council held its first meeting of 2013 Monday evening, which meant all the council members elected in November needed to recite their oaths of office.
Taking their oaths were Hector Santellanes, who was appointed by Mayor Dave Genereux and the council to serve the remaining two years of Wayne Melbye's ward four council seat. Melbye ran for and was elected to the at-large seat being vacated by Frank Lindgren. In addition to Santellanes and Melbye, Tom Jorgens, Keith Mykleseth and Dale Stainbrook, all re-elected incumbents, took their oaths of office for their seats in wards one, three and five, respectively.
