They're ranked sixth in AA rankings that determine seeding.
The Pirates continued their stellar play this season with an 83-60 win over Breckenridge Friday in Crookston.
Crookston won the Section 8AA matchup by outscoring the Cowgirls by 20 points in the second half after a three-point lead at halftime.
Sophomore Sydney Boike led the Pirates with 27 points, while senior post Erica Samuelson added 14. Senior Kylie Simmons had 11 points and sophomore post Brooke Heggie recorded ten.
“We started a little slow,” senior guard Katie Davidson told the Times. “But we picked it up with a good team effort.”
Alison Beyer led Breckenridge with 17 points, while Haley Bommersbach added 14 and Alyse Engen had 13.
The Pirates have now won three straight and are 8-2 on the season.
They rank No. 6 in Class AA according to Minnesota-Scores.net's QRF Rankings, which determines the section seeds.
Crookston will go on the road Thursday, Jan. 10 to face Kittson County Central.
