Stassen says it looks promising.

The United Way of Crookston's fundraising campaign has met its annual goal, which was set at $185,000. "We have indeed reached our goal," director Shannon Stassen told the Times. It turns out, though, that there may be more on the way. "If things fall into place, we could break the all time record," he added. "It's looking very good."

Stassen expressed his gratitude for the community's generosity.  "On behalf of the the board and the staff, we are appreciative of the donations given by the business owners and the citizens in general," he said.

Stassen also thanked those who went out and spread the word about the campaign. "We have dozens of volunteers that go out and solicit the cause. They work very hard," he said. "We could not have done it without the volunteers."
