Clarence Dvorak, 93, of rural Warren, MN, passed away on January 1, 2013 at the Villa St. Vincent in Crookston, MN.
Clarence Edward Dvorak was born on February 21, 1919 in rural Farley Township, Polk County, MN, the son of Edward Joseph and Mary (Soltis) Dvorak. Clarence was baptized and confirmed at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Tabor, MN.  He attended country school until the 8th grade at Farley School. In the early years of Tabor, Clarence was the repairman for the Tabor Telephone Company. He was in charge of fixing the poles, lines and telephones. Clarence started farming at a young age with his father, Ed and continued to farm with his son Ted and at the end with his grandsons, Eric and Todd. An amazing life when viewed that farming with his dad, Ed, they farmed with horses. By the time his grandsons, Eric and Todd, were farming, Clarence got to try Auto-steer and GPS farming. Clarence was always very proud of the fact he started raising sugar beets in 1946 and his son and grandsons have continued that tradition.
Clarence married Ruth Avis Julin in Shevlin, MN on June 29, 1950. Ruth and Clarence had one son, Ted. Ruth and Clarence lived on their farm in Sandsville Township. Ruth died on May 30, 1996. On November 8, 1997, Clarence married Rose Mary Salentine Dvorak. Clarence and Rose lived at the farm until 2009 when they moved to East Grand Forks, MN. In 2012, they moved to the Villa St. Vincent Nursing Home in Crookston.
Clarence served his community and church in different ways. He was a lifetime member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, serving as a member of the church council. He was president of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Cemetery Association. He was an Eagles Club member for 60 years and the treasurer of Sandsville Township for 55 years.
Left to mourn his passing are his wife, Rose Mary Dvorak of Crookston, MN; son, Ted (Darlene) Dvorak of Warren, MN; grandsons, Eric (Sara) Dvorak and Todd (Kailee) Dvorak all of East Grand Forks, MN and four great-grandsons, Noah, Owen, Lucas and Bennett.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Ruth.
FUNERAL SERVICE: 11:00 AM on Friday, January 4, 2013 at Bethany Lutheran Church in rural East Grand Forks, MN.

VISITATION: One hour before services at the church.

INTERMENT: Holy Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Tabor, MN.
