Ryan Porter - Boys' Basketball
Head coach Greg Garmen says, “Ryan has been steadily improving and has given the Pirates another outside threat.”

Brooke Heggie & Sydney Boike - Girls' Basketball
Head coach Lon Boike says, “Last week, Friday and Saturday, the Pirate girls’ basketball team competed in the Annandale Tournament where the team lost to Chatfield and then beat Eden Valley-Watkins. In the two-game tourney, Brooke averaged 19 points and four rebounds and Sydney averaged 15 points, six rebounds and four assists per game.”

Lizzy Awender - Girls' Hockey
Assistant coach Jaclyn Martin says, “Lizzy is a junior forward and second line center for the Pirates. Last week, Lizzy had a great couple of games at our holiday tournament. She had a goal against Grand Forks and a short-handed goal against Fargo South. It’s been nice to watch Lizzy play and to start seeing her hard work pay off on the score board. She’s got a great work ethic and brings 100 percent to every practice and game. Lizzy’s also a very positive person on the bench and does a great job getting the girls fired up for games. Even though she may not be a captain, I think all of us coaches would agree that she’s a leader of this team. In upcoming games, we hope to see Lizzy continuing to capitalize on her chances!”

Cam Leas & Justin Cameron - Boys' Hockey
Head coach Jon Bittner says, “Cam Leas is a senior defenseman who had an outstanding series in the TRF tournament. He played some forward during the series as well and was outstanding defensively for the Pirates.  Cam is a true ‘defensive defenseman’ and is unselfish in his play and work to keep the puck out of our net.

“Justin Cameron is a junior defenseman for the Pirates and is a physical presence for the Pirates at the point.  Justin is exceptional on the man short, owning his defensive corners, in front of the net on the power play and scored his first career goal as a Pirate this past week in the TRF tournament. Justin and Cam anchor our solid defensive core for the Pirates.”
