The complaint says the victim's two roommates told police they and the victim had been drinking with Martinez, who lived across the hall.
A Minneapolis man is accused of killing his neighbor over whether he could have another drink.
Thirty-four-year-old Rick Martinez is charged with second-degree murder.
The medical examiner has not yet identified the victim. The man died Saturday night, a few hours after he was stabbed in his apartment.
The complaint says the victim's two roommates told police they and the victim had been drinking with Martinez, who lived across the hall. One witness said the victim and Martinez had argued about whether Martinez could get more to drink.
The complaint says Martinez left the room, then returned and stabbed the victim. The suspect was arrested Sunday after he returned to the building and was detained by neighbors.
The Star Tribune (http://bit.ly/VUMWGi) reports Martinez is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.
