Performance set for Valentine's Day and weekend.
Crookston Community Theater is pleased to announce the cast for their upcoming show, "Almost, Maine," written by John Cariani. This fun, romantic comedy features a variety of local talent as it tells the story of several couples who are really, truly and honestly dealing with the toughest thing there is to deal with in life: love. Set in the fictional town of Almost, Maine, the characters invite us into their lives on a cold Friday night in February. While it is both funny and sweet, this program is suited for mature audiences due to some adult themes.
The ensemble cast for "Almost, Maine" is made up of returning Crookston Community Theater members as well as newcomers. You may also recognize some of the names from previous Crookston High School and UMC stage productions. The cast includes Brooke Hamilton, Dylan Kaste, Tyler Lowthian, Colleen MacRae, Ian McRae, Gareth McNichol-Briggs, Lela Olson, Aryanna Ostgaard, Andrew Svec, Beth Waxler and Meredith Wentzel. Making her Crookston Community Theater directing debut is Penny Chmielewski.
Performances for "Almost, Maine" will be February 14-16 at 7:30 p.m. in the Kiehle Auditorium on the UMC campus. Tickets will be $12 and will be on sale on the nights of the performances at the door. For more information contact Gaye Wick at 281-3817.
