Aaron Hollcraft - Boys' Basketball
Head coach Greg Garmen says, “Aaron has been very steady for the Pirates and is off to a good start this season. He is a rebounding machine and  handles the ball extremely well for the Pirates.”

Taylor Demarais & Kenzie Klatt - Girls' Basketball
Head coach Lon Boike says, “Taylor, a three-sport athlete (Volleyball Basketball, Softball), has been a driving force behind the Pirates’ 5-1 start this season. The captain and starting point guard is amongst the team leaders in steals and is a strong three-point shooting threat! A very good ball handler, Taylor is often leading the fast break and is also one of the team leaders in assists.

“McKenzie, a sophomore, has been doing a great job for the Pirates this year in the guard spot. She worked extrememly hard in the off-season getting ready for this year as she had ACL surgery last spring and spent numerous hours in therapy rehabbing her knee. She has been doing very well and is one of the team leaders in 3 point shooting percentage! Kenzie is also a good ball handler and recently reccorded four assists in a big win against #4 ranked team in Class AAA, Thief River Falls!”

Josh Edlund - Wrestling
Head coach Chad Hitchen says, “Josh Edlund is the POW and is coming off a runner-up finish at the Big Bear Tournament and a pin in last Tuesday’s dual. He is off to good start to this year’s season. Josh is a captain and is in the Franklin Club (100 wins). I look to Josh to have a great end of the year.”

Amber Trostad - Girls' Hockey
Assistant coach Jaclyn Martin says, “Amber is a junior captain on the team this year and has had a nice first half of the season. She started the season battling an illness, but bounced right back in the mix of things. She’s got great hockey sense and also is very defensive minded (which is something we’re always pushing our forwards to be). She also has great speed and is one of our best back-checkers. Amber has shown tremendous improvement on the man short and continues to help kill penalties. Amber also shows leadership in the locker room, on the ice and outside of the rink. She’s always got a smile on her face, brings a great attitude and works hard every day!”

Ryan Bittner - Boys' Hockey
Ryan is a senior captain for the Pirates and is the team’s best defenseman. Not only is he leading the 5-1 Pirates with 30 points (7 goals, 13 assists) in nine games, but he is a solid defender and quarterbacks the power play and man short. Ryan has a pair of hat tricks on the season and was named Hockey Giant’s High School Player of the Week Dec. 14.
