  • Winger woman, Kutsev, extricated from vehicle after rollover, airlifted to Altru

  •     A Winger woman had to be extricated from her vehicle on Friday, Dec. 14 following a one-vehicle rollover in rural Fosston.
        According to the Polk County Sheriff's Office, Ekatirina Kutsev, 64, of Winger, became trapped in her vehicle after rolling her vehicle on Polk County Highway 6 in Queen Township, rural Fosston. Kustev was extricated by firefighters from the Fosston Fire Department, and was subsequently transported from the scene by First Care Ambulance Service of Fosston to the Fosston Airport.
        From there, Kustev was Life Flighted by North Memorial Air Care to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks. The extent of Kustev's injuries are unknown at this time.
        The crash remains under investigation at this time. The PCSO reports that road conditions at the time of the rollover were dry.
        The Polk County Sheriff's Office was assisted at the scene by First Care Ambulance Service, Fosston Fire Department and North Memorial Air Care.
