Former longtime Crookston resident, died Dec. 6. Funeral will be in Shieldsville, Minn. on Dec. 14.
Patricia Rose Noah (Mahoney), age 77, of Faribault, died on Dec. 6, 2012 in Owatonna.
Pat was born in Dundas on Aug. 2, 1935, the daughter of John and Grace (Hagerty) Mahoney. Her family moved to St. Paul when she was in the 3rd grade. In 1951 she moved to Crookston to finish high school. She met her husband, Vincent and they were married in 1955 at the Cathedral of St. Paul. They divorced in 1976, and he passed away in 1983. Pat dearly loved spending time with friends and family. She enjoyed reading (her favorite author was John Grisham), playing cards, and Scrabble. Pat worked for Tri-Valley for 21 years, all with the Head Start Program before retiring to Faribault where she volunteered with Meals on Wheels and the Catholic parish.
She is survived by sons Robert, Timothy, Paul, Gregory (Michelle), Brian (Dana), and Chris; daughter Angela and daughter-in-law Janice; brother Robert Mahoney, and sisters Mary Halverson and Bernadette Kiel; 11 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her eldest son Vincent, infant children Marc and Colleen, her brother Thomas, sisters Margaret, Emily, Therese, and Rita, and her parents.
Funeral services will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Shieldsville on Friday, Dec. 14, 2012 at 2 p.m. with Father George Kallumkalkudy officiating. Visitation will take place from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be at Shieldsville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the American Cancer Society.
