They each catch a rabbit to dine on.

Times’ readers continue to respond to our request for submitted hunting/outdoors photos. Wednesday, two bald eagles hunted successfully for rabbits near the Crookston High School practice fields, and then enjoyed lunch.

Alicia Berhow, who took photos of the eagles and sent them to the Times, explains the scene: “They sat there for about 45 minutes. They were HUGE. The male stood about 2.5 feet tall. It is so rare to see both of them eating in town and in such an open space. They hunted together and both caught rabbits. It was amazing to watch them hunt, and how they reacted with each other! What an amazing sight it was!”
