Rock's Building more than half down by mid-afternoon Monday.
Donarski Construction of Crookston and their back-hoe were making quick work of the former Rock's Jewelry building in downtown Crookston Monday afternoon. By 2 p.m., about one-third of the building remained standing. Its neighbor to the south, the former Z Place building, is next to come down.
Retired fire chief Richard Rock, hired to lead the project, said the hope is to have both buildings into a pile of rubble by the Thanksgiving holiday.
