The Crookston Farmer’s Market and Chamber Beautification Committee recently made a contribution of $200 plus 50 pounds of food to the North Country Food Bank. The donations were collected at the 2nd annual Cornstalk Jamboree in October. Members of the Farmer’s Market donated ingredients and prepared vegetable beef and chicken with cabbage soups which were served at the Cornstalk Jamboree along with bottled water that was donated by Otter Tail Power Company. The free will donation provided money and canned food for the food bank.
In recognition of American Education Week, the American Legion Auxiliary sent checks to purchase books for the school libraries at Cathedral, Our Savior's Lutheran, Washington, Highland and Crookston High School.
