University of North Dakota Band Day, held at the Alerus Center in Grand Forks, gives hundreds of high school musicians from the region an opportunity to rehearse and perform with the UND Pride of North Dakota Marching Band.
This past Saturday a dozen Crookston High School Band members joined over 500 other high school students at the University of North Dakota Band Day at the Alerus Center in Grand Forks. At this event the students were able to rehearse and perform with the UND Pride of the North Marching Band.
CHS Band Director Christopher Brandt said the day began early with rehearsals lead by the section leaders from the UND band followed by a rehearsal for the half-time performance with the UND band and all 500 high school band students.
Students were then treated to a performance by the UND Marching Band, followed by lunch, and then they stayed and played throughout the UND football game at the Alerus Center, including an exciting and impressive half-time performance, Brandt said.
