V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary Post 1902 collected and sent out most in state, third in nation.

Crookston V.F.W. Post 1902 Ladies Auxiliary hopes to beat its record last year for the number of greeting cards signed by community members that were sent to U.S. troops stationed overseas and elsewhere. Among the other V.F.W. auxiliaries in the state, Crookston's sent out the most cards last year, and was third out of all those participating in the program nationwide.

Local auxiliary members have been out and about at local events, including the Community Halloween Party on Oct. 28, asking people to write personal messages to show their support for those in the military on the cards they provide.
