  • An investigation into a brawl following a high school soccer playoff game has led to a boys' team being disqualified from the Minnesota state tournament.
The Minnesota State High School League on Wednesday disqualified Prairie Seeds Academy from the Class 1A state tournament after an investigation of last week's on-field fight found that the team used an ineligible player during the entire 2012 season.
Prairie Seeds Academy of Brooklyn Park defeated Totino-Grace High School by a score of 2-1 Friday. But a scuffle involving multiple players broke out after the game and was caught on camera.
Prairie Seeds had been scheduled to play Duluth Marshall on Friday in Roseville. The Star Tribune (http://bit.ly/TVsTHn) reports that due to the disqualification, Marshall will advance to next week's semifinal at the Metrodome.
