Twenty-three-year-old Sumaya Hassan initially faced attempted murder charges.
A Fargo woman accused of trying to kill several people by running them over with her car has been sentenced to two years in prison on a reduced charge.
Twenty-three-year-old Sumaya Hassan initially faced attempted murder charges. They later were changed to aggravated assault and she pleaded guilty, admitting to driving her car into a group of people she had been arguing with in a church parking lot in April.
The Forum newspaper reports (http://bit.ly/OVTdVQ ) that Hassan told Judge Wade Webb on Wednesday that she had been harassed and was trying to defend herself. Webb said she likely was provoked but that trying to hit people with a vehicle "is not a reasonable response."
