Minnesota, Crookston is now 7-7 on the season and 3-4 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.
The Golden Eagles were swept on the weekend, 3-1 by Upper Iowa Friday and 3-0 by Winona State Saturday. Both contests were on the road.
In Fayetta, Iowa, the Peacocks rebounded after the Golden Eagles took the first set 27-25 to win the next three 25-12, 25-23, 25-22.
In Winona, the Warriors cruised to a 25-20, 25-17, 25-23 victory.
Against Upper Iowa, the Golden Eagles were led by Senior outside hitter Amanda Swann, who finished with 12 kills and a .333 hitting percentage. UMC hit .119 for the match. Junior outside hitter Brittany Looker added 11 kills and had 20 digs to notch her seventh double-double of the season. At setter, both juniors Paige Mitchell and Lindsey Rees had 18 assists. Junior libero Chelsea Wiesner had a team-high 23 digs, while junior outside hitter Alexandra Skeeter and Mitchell each had 12 digs.
Against Winona State, Swann led the way with ten kills, while Looker added seven. Mitchell led notched 15 assists and Rees added ten. Wiesnere finished with 21 digs.
