  • Minnesota Orchestra musicians have not been notified of a lockout by management, but that could change.
Orchestra management and musicians failed to reach a new contract agreement during negotiations Sunday. And no new talks are scheduled.
Management said last week it would lock musicians out once the contract expired at midnight if musicians didn't accept a final offer.
Management rejected two proposals from musicians, including one which would have called for arbitration and another that would have allowed the musicians to play during negotiations. The musicians unanimously rejected management's final offer Saturday that would've cut salaries an average of 34 percent.
Musicians' spokesman Blois Olson said Monday morning that management has not informed them of a lockout.
