Bobby Bluestar Ramirez suffers severe leg trauma, other injuries.
A Crookston man, Bobby Bluestar Ramirez, 32, is in stable condition at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks after being struck by a train late Saturday afternoon in downtown Crookston. Crookston Police and the Polk County Sheriff's Office got the call of a person being struck by a train at approximately 5:25 p.m. Saturday, just north of the West Sixth Street railroad bridge along North Main Street. There, they found Ramirez, conscious and breathing, with severe leg trauma and other injuries. The train was stopped around 1/4 of a mile south of where Ramirez was found.
Ramirez was taken by Crookston Area Ambulance Service to RiverView Hospital, and was transferred from there to Altru.
The accident is under investigation.
