'College and Career Prep 101' will take place Thursdays during lunch; Junior Achievement will return for younger students.
The Achieve More program, run by the UMC Center for Adult Learning, officially launched Thursday when the first group of community professionals converged on the CHS commons during the three lunch periods to sit at various tables to talk to 7th through 12th graders about their career aspirations and potential college plans after high school. Lunchtime chats will take place every Thursday.
The high school portion of the program is known as "College and Career Prep 101."
For younger kids, Achieve More is bringing back the Junior Achievement program, which is eyeing a January 2013 launch.
