Augustana College won the tournament after shooting a team score of 624 with was 48-over-par.
The U of M, Crookston women's golf team finished 16th out of 17 at the 15th annual Mustang Invite hosted by Southwest Minnesota State at the Marshall Golf Club Sept. 22 and 23.
Augustana College (S.D.) won the tournament after shooting a team score of 624 with was 48-over-par. The Vikings' Emily Kvidera turned in a two-round score of two-over-par to win the tournament. Kvidera tied the Mustang Invite record with a two-under-par 70 on Sunday.
The Golden Eagles turned in a team score of 792. Katie Sheetz (Fr., Grand Rapids, Minn.) led the way shooting an 84 on day one and a 89 on day two. Her combined two-day score was 173, which was 29-over-par. Jacy Christenson (Jr., Shoreview, Minn.) turned in her low round of the year with a 93 on day one. She finished the tournament with a 196. Rikki Roscoe (Fr., Big Stone City, S.D.) turned in a 205 on the weekend while Kari Bodine (Jr., Babbitt, Minn.) scored a 221 and Kelly Gustafson (Jr., Hermantown, Minn.) turned in a 223.
The UMC Golden Eagles will compete in a one-day event in Bemidji, Minn. Next weekend at the Bemidji Town and Country Club just off the shores of Lake Bemidji.
