  • The Pirates fell 2-1 to Walker-Hackensack-Akeley Saturday in Crookston. Crookston, now 1-8 on the season, had previously beaten W-H-A 1-0 in Walker.
    The Wolves took a 2-0 lead into halftime with goals in the 12th and 25th minutes.
    Pirate sophomore Madison Crane cut the deficit in half in the 50th minute with an unassisted goal but that would be all the scoring for the Pirates.
    Senior goalkeeper Sydney Luckow recorded six saves in the match. Emma Gribbin made nine stops in goal for the Wolves.
    The Pirates will travel to Pelican Rapids Tuesday to face Hillcrest Lutheran/Pelican Rapids. On Thursday the Pirates are on the road against Detroit Lakes before hosting Fergus Falls Friday at 5:30 p.m.
