Tim Menard finds the Ox Cart Medallion

Tim Menard found the Ox Cart Days Medallion late Friday morning, near Tours & Travel and the Swanson Law Office on North Broadway. People who have been around Crookston a long time say that the "Gopher Theater" used to be located on that site, which made Friday's third clue in the hunt a particularly helpful one.

The third clue, a quote from the film "Caddyshack" was: "In the immortal words of Jean Paul Sarte, 'Au revoir, gopher.'"

The first clue came from the film "Ferris Bueller's Day Off": "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."

The second clue came from the film "The Sandlot": "Remember kid, there's heroes and there are legends. Heroes get remembered but legends never die. Follow your heart kid, and you'll never go wrong."

Menard wins $200 from the Crookston Area Chamber of Commerce.
