Milfred Engebretson, 86 of Crookston, MN died Monday, August 13. 2012 at the Villa St. Vincent Nursing Center, Crookston, MN. He is the son of Ingvald and Cora (Gordon) Engebretson. He married Beulah Gjestrum in Climax, MN on August 3, 1950. He grew up in Climax, MN. He attended rural climax country school. He served in the US Navy. He then worked at the implement dealership in climax for several years, and then went to work at the Climax public school as a teacher for the Vocational Program and also as custodian until his retirement. Milfred was a member of the Nielsville American Legion and also a member of the Eagles Club.

He is survived by 1 son Mark (Debbie) Engebretson, of Crookston, MN, 6 grandchildren, Crystal, Kayla and Amber Engebretson, Adam, Aaron and Alicia Vouk, 2 great grandsons, Kaden and Tyler Vouk, 1 son-in-law Al Vouk, Sartell, MN, 1 sister Chilas Cochrane, Parshall, ND. He is preceded in death by his wife Beulah, daughter Linda Vouk, and his parents.

Funeral Service: 4:00 PM, Saturday, August 18, 2012 at the Climax Lutheran Church, Climax, MN.

Visitation: 5-7 PM with a 6:30 PM prayer service, Friday, August 17, 2012 at Climax Lutheran Church and 1 hour before services at the church.

Interment: Sand Hill Cemetery, rural Climax, MN.
