  • The news director of a Duluth TV station has apologized for a Facebook post that offended several native American groups.
Jason Vincent is the news director of KQDS Fox 21 TV. On Wednesday he posted: "Add drunk, homeless, Native American man to the list of animals that have wandered into my yard."
The post prompted Duluth's American Indian Commission and the Human Rights Commission to call for an apology.
A Duluth News Tribune report (http://bit.ly/QC4Z8a ) says the station issued an on-air apology, and Vincent apologized on Facebook. He also said he contacted some of the people offended by the post.
Station general manager Jackie Bruenjes issued a statement Friday saying the station does not condone that behavior. Bruenjes also said Vincent had written the post while on vacation.
