Youth baseball postseasons get underway

The Lake Agassiz Babe Ruth District Tournament kicks off today in East Grand Forks and goes until Sunday.

Crookston's first game was at 10 a.m. today against Win-E-Mac at Stauss Park. The winner plays Saturday at noon, while the loser played today at 1 p.m.

Both teams in the championship game advance to the state tournament in Maplewood, Minn. July 26-29.

State 12-year-old Intact

Wednesday's Times mentioned Crookston hosting the Cal Ripken State 12-year-old Intact Tournament Friday through Sunday at the Highland softball fields. Crookston opens the tournament Friday at 2 p.m. against Warroad. The winner plays Saturday at noon, while the loser will play Friday at 6 p.m.
