A total of 77 golfers participated in the 18-hole event.

The U of M, Crookston held its annual Mark Olsonawski Scholarship Golf Tournament at the Two Rivers Golf Course in Hallock, Minn. on Thursday, June 28. All proceeds benefit an endowed football scholarship in honor of former Golden Eagle football player Mark Olsonawski. Olsonawski was a running back and team captain for the Golden Eagles and is a native of Hallock, Minn. A total of 77 golfers participated in the 18-hole event.

Winners were announced in two flights. Jason Capes, Chris Carriere, Tim Petry and Tor Bergstrom captured Flight One with Marv Bachmeier, Jason Tangquist, Tom Piche and Bill Tyrrell winning Flight Two.

“We would like to thank all the golfers, sponsors and Two Rivers Golf Course for their continued support of the Mark Olsonawski Endowed Scholarship Golf Tournament,” says Director of Athletic Fundraising Bill Tyrrell. “With the generosity of many, this endowment continues to grow and we are very excited to give scholarships this year from this endowment to U of M, Crookston football players Matt Borowicz (Stephen, Minn.), Brody Davidson of Crookston Minn. and Tyler Roed of Devils Lake N.D.
