  • The slide continues for the Crookston Reds, who dropped both games of a doubleheader Sunday against the Roseau Royals. The Royals hung on to win game one 3-2 and routed the Reds 9-2 in the nightcap.

    In game one, Matt Morin started on the mound, pitching four innings and allowing three earned runs. Cole Ricard pitched the final three innings in relief, holding the Royals scoreless.
    Justin Johnson was 2 for 3 at the plate for the Reds.
    In game two, Chito Longoria suffered the loss on the mound for the Reds, pitching four innings and allowing eight earned runs.
    Five different Reds recorded hits in the game with Paul Smith had a double.
    The Reds are set to host the Thief River Falls Thieves Wednesday at 7 p.m. A makeup date for last Wednesday's game against the Ada A's, which was cut short because of rain, has not been set.
