  • Donald Noel Miller, age 80, a longtime Denver resident, passed away on March 25, 2012 at the Colorado State Veterans Home at Fitzsimons in Aurora, Colo.
    Donald was born Dec. 24, 1931 in Crookston to Andrew Dodds and Dena (Knutson) Miller. He graduated from the Northwest School of Agriculture in Crookston. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Crookston.
    He served in the Air Force, was employed by Convair Aircraft, worked in the insurance business and later was a Barter Broker for many years. He was also very proud to be a member of the American Legion.
    Don married Gloria Watters on May 16, 1999 in Monument, Colo.
    He is survived by his wife, Gloria; his sisters, Marilyn Dunn (Jim), Corinne Morris (Jim); and brothers Richard (Lee) and Robert (Jane). He was preceded in death by his parents.
    Don will always be remembered for his sense of humor and his beautiful tenor voice.
    In honor of Don's request, there will be no memorial service. His cremains will be placed in the Miller family plot in Crookston.
    Memorials in Don's name may be given to the Colorado State Veteran's Home at Fitzsimons, 1919 Quentin St., Aurora, CO 80045, or to First Presbyterian, 510 N. Broadway, Crookston, MN 56716.
