Nearly a half million hunters are expected to roam Minnesota's fields and woods during the state's 14-day deer hunt.
The Department of Natural Resources says the hunt is big business. The DNR estimates it pumps $458 million into the state's economy each year, including $260 million in retail sales.
KSTP-TV (http://bit.ly/sfyDoA ) reports the DNR expects 200,000 deer will be killed this hunting season. That compares to an estimated 1 million deer in Minnesota.
