  • June Rose Lange, 76, of Crookston, Minnesota, died peacefully, with family at her side, early Monday morning, December 14, 2009, in the RiverView Care Center in Crookston. June was born on June 16, 1933 at Northwood, North Dakota, the daughter of Herbert and Caroline (Fischer) Roeder. She attended rural School District 101 in Union Township. June was united in marriage to Ross Edmund Lange on September 26, 1954, at the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Reynolds, North Dakota. Together the couple farmed for many years. June was a loving wife and homemaker and enjoyed caring for her six children. Not only did she work on the farm she also cooked for sorority students who loved her cooking, and babysat for another family as well as her own grandchildren for many years. June taught countless children at Sunday school, something she did for over 50 years, and was recognized and awarded for this. She also was a Tupperware dealer for many years. June was very active in her church and served on the Flower Committee and proudly displayed flowers from her own garden. She was a member of the United Methodist Women’s Organization. June and Ross had moved to Crookston in July of 2002, and she had entered the nursing home later that year. Blessed be the memory of June Rose Lange.
    Loving family members include her husband, Ross; three sons, Marlon (Carol) Lange of Casper, WY, Kevin (Marsha) Lange of Grand Forks, ND and Donavan (Carmelle) Lange of Moorhead, MN; three daughters, Sharie Dahm, and Kariann Lange, both of Grand Forks, and Rosanne (Richard) Curtis of the Grand Forks, Air Base; grandchildren, Jennifer Lange, Rachel, Rebecca and Timothy Lange, Nathaniel Lange, Joshua Dahm, Nicole Gislason, Brice Hendrickson, Ryan Aasen, Andy, Jacob, Curtis, Austin and Jordan Young; great-grandchild, Cooper Dahm; sisters, Viola (Arnold) Abel of Detroit Lakes, MN and Leona (Ed) Gage of Northwood, ND; sister-in-law, Gertie Roeder of Grand Forks; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. June was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Caroline Roeder; brother, Delmer Roeder; and a brother-in-law, Raymond Hart.
    The funeral service for June Rose Lange will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, December 19, 2009 in the Holmes United Methodist Church in rural Reynolds, North Dakota, with Rev. Mark Ellingson, officiating. Visitation will be on Friday in the Stenshoel-Houske Funeral Home from 5-7:00 pm, with a 7:00 pm prayer service, and also for an hour before the funeral at the church. Interment will be in the Holmes Church Cemetery.
